Giving Power to Power Politics

“For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.” – 1 Timothy 6:10 KJV
We’re living in an age where you see the rich get richer and the poor, of course, get poorer.
What we get with “Power Politics” is dictatorship, terrorism, and despair.
Let’s examine the current situation; an elected official now has been given the power to privatize government. What that means for the majority… those not in politics or who do not control the wealth… bear the burden of greed!
What privatization means for most of the poor and even the pseudo middle class (who will become the new poor) is you no longer matter in the makeup of a system built to honor wealth.
Spiritually Linking
The poor will always be with us. “…for you have the poor with you always, but Me you do not have always.” – Matthew 26:11 NKJV
Although Jesus is specifically speaking about the act of the woman who anointed his feet with oil, he also acknowledged the poor would always be present.
When government becomes privatized then programs designed to help the poor, and people with disabilities, get cut. The private industry is about profit and not about helping those who not only need help but deserve help.
Physically Linking
The cutting of supply through Medicare and Medicaid impacts the health and well-being of those who rely on the government to provide health care. The physical health of the individuals who rely on the government’s help is now placed at risk.
“When government becomes privatized then programs designed to help the poor, and people with disabilities, get cut.”
Mentally Linking
Can you imagine the mental anguish that those who receive Medicare and Medicaid must be going through? The private sect of course could care less as making a profit and cutting valuable a viable service to those in need are at the core of privatization.
Financially Linking
There are two opposing forces as the result of privatization. The question you have to ask yourself is who gets wealthier and who bears the burden of providing for the poor and disabled if systems have been dismantled that were designed to aid in someone’s time of need?
How are you feeling about the state of ‘Power Politics’ in the country? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
